The desire of URFM is to help members of the body of Christ to experience spiritual maturity in their various aspects of existence, so that they may know Jesus Christ not only as SAVIOR, and as LORD, but know HIM personally as their LIFE.
URFM cooperates with the Holy Spirit in spreading the Whole Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible.
Our purpose is to accomplish the Exchanged Life objective, which is, to reveal our Spiritual Identity with Christ in His death, resurrection, and ascension.

Most Christians have been taught that Jesus Christ died for their sins. Some embraced Christ as their Lord. Only a few have been taught the TRUTH that they died with HIM and experience CHRIST as their LIFE. Consequently, even fewer find victory in their lives. Although they have been set free from their SINS, they have not been set free from THEMSELVES.
Valy Vaduva was born in 1959 in Romania. He earned his engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. Now Valy, his wife Elena, and four grown up children live in USA.
Valy grew up in a Christian Orthodox family. When Valy was 11 years old he was exposed to the New Testament teachings which made a profound impression upon Valy’s mind and spirit.
While in High School, Valy started to attend a Baptist Church in Bucharest. The Bible teaching and preaching that took place in that Church impressed him tremendously. After a while he gave his life to Jesus. He was baptized in water in February 1977. After that he got involved in the Sunday school Ministry and the Youth Ministry in the Church.
In the 80’s he was exposed to the Pentecostal movement that, in spite of the fearful persecutions by the communist government, was growing at that time in Romania. The sincerity and the sacrifices of those believers made a profound impression on him. After that Valy became very active in bible studies and prayer meetings with professional people. Note: Fearing persecution from the communist regime, those people had difficult time to openly expressed their faith, especially due to their positions.
In 1990, after the popular revolution, which ended the communist regime in Romania, Valy and his family, guided by the Holy Spirit, immigrated to the United States.
After a short while, Valy and Elena realized the need for Christian discipleship type ministry among Romanians living in the United States and Canada. As a response to God’s calling and to satisfy this need, in 1996 Upper Room Fellowship Ministry was founded.
In 1995, Valy and Elena heard on a Christian radio about Exchanged Life Ministries of Michigan (ELM) and its services. Convinced that this is God’s calling, they enrolled in the Advanced Training Institute offered by ELM. They learned about Christ & Cross –centered Christian discipleship approach.
In 1996, responding to God’s calling in their heart, Valy, Elena, and two other family friends, Gabriela Tina and Fabiola Constantin, founded Upper Room Fellowship Ministry (URFM). This organization is registered with the State of Michigan and has charity status from the IRS.
In 1999, URFM was accepted as a ministry member of the Association of Exchanged Life Ministries (AELM).
URFM desires to minister to all Romanian communities spread across the United States and Canada as well as to al believers from Romania, Republic of Moldova, United Kingdom, Europe, Israel, and Australia.
Please pray for URFM and its services.
